Durable handwoven basket made of milulu grass–a reed-like swamp grass–and dyed to a rich black. Handmade by women in rural Tanzania and named for the city of Iringa, iringa baskets are an indispensable utility item in East Africa and around the world. 

11-12" in diameter x 12" in height. Small variations in size & design are part of what makes each piece uniquely beautiful. If reshaping is necessary, lightly spray basket with water and mold while drying.
